Salida facilitates the wastewater from Salida, Poncha Springs,
and the surrounding areas. The plant is also a regional site for
laboratory testing. Sewer Plant personnel are responsible for plant
infrastructure, discharge monitoring, chemical analysis, and sludge
management. The plant discharges into the Arkansas River. Plant
personnel accomplish plant operation with additional support from
the Public Works Department.
