Salida, CO- The City of Salida in partnership with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin multi-modal improvements on Oak Street (CO 291) between Walnut Street and Illinois Avenue on July 8. These improvements are designed to provide a safe route along Oak Street for everyone – regardless of their transportation method.

Improvements include storm sewer line improvements, installation of bike lanes on either side of Oak Street, crosswalks, as well as curb, gutter, and sidewalk installation along the west side and along redevelopment locations on the east side and new pavement along the whole corridor.
