Parks, Recreation, Open Space, Trails (PROST) Advisory Board
The Parks, Recreation Open Space and Trails (PROST) Board (formerly known as the Recreation Board) was created to work with City staff to help our Parks and Recreation Department best serve the community.
PROST Board Goals
- To serve as a link between the City Council, City staff, and the community.
- To assist the City in evaluating and prioritizing parks, trails, recreation, and open space projects in the community.
- To assist the City in evaluating funding sources for parks, trails, recreation, and open space projects in the community.
Meetings
The PROST Board generally meets the 4th Tuesday of the month.
Board Details
- The PROST Board consists of seven at-large members appointed by the City Council and the Parks and Recreation Director.
- Appointed members serve two years, except for the term of two of the members appointed to the first PROST Board will be for only one year.
- In the event of a vacancy during the term of any member, a successor will be appointed for the unexpired portion of the term.
- Members may be reappointed to serve successive terms without limitation.
