The City of Salida is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain clean, safe, and sanitary municipal facilities across the City. This position supports a variety of locations including City buildings, public facilities, and community spaces, ensuring they are well-maintained for staff and the public.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain restrooms and facility spaces

Perform routine cleaning tasks (floors, surfaces, trash, etc.)

Monitor and maintain cleaning supply inventory

Assist with deep cleaning and special maintenance projects

Identify and report maintenance or repair needs

Support cleaning efforts across multiple City facilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications

High school level education or equivalent

Prior custodial or facility cleaning experience preferred

Ability to work independently and follow directions

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
This is a part-time regular position, up to 20 hours a week.
Hiring range: $18.00 - $22.00/hour dependent on experience.
