Public Works

The Public Works Department maintains the public streets, water, sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure.  This includes long range planning, capital planning, capital project execution, and on-going maintenance activities.

The department also provides inspections for construction of public infrastructure related to development throughout the City.  Staff at Salida Public Works are here to assist you with issues related to permits for work activities within the right-of-way, water and sewer utility issues, and guidance related to street and utility standards.  Utility billing items are handled through the Finance Department.
