The City of Salida Public Works Streets Division is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our Streets team. This hands-on, outdoor position performs a wide variety of manual labor and semi-skilled work related to the operation of construction equipment and machinery used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of City streets, alleys, and other public infrastructure.
The position supports street maintenance activities including asphalt and concrete repairs, equipment operation, snow removal, and emergency response. As part of the Public Works organization, this role may also be called upon to assist with other City infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects as needed. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and may include occasional nights, shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call assignments.
