The Downtown Streetscapes Improvement Project aims to improve accessibility and the overall pedestrian experience in the heart of Salida. Key upgrades include new ADA ramps, intersection improvements, replacement of aging water services, and enhanced drainage. In addition to these core utilities, the project will introduce new public amenities, such as additional bike parking, fixed planter beds and tree plantings. Removable bollards will also be installed to allow for street closures on F Street during special events. This project, designed with both function and community events in mind, is funded in part by a grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs.
