Public Works Municipal Worker II

The City of Salida Public Works department is seeking a Municipal Worker II to join our team! This is a full time position with full benefit offerings.

This position performs a wide variety of manual labor and semi-skilled work related to the operation of construction equipment and machinery utilized in the construction, maintenance and repair of the City streets, alleys, water and waste water lines and general public works. Demonstrates proficiency with the duties of a Municipal Worker I. As a member of the public works organization, this position may be called out to assist with other City infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects from time to time. Must be able to work nights, shifts, holidays, weekends as assigned.

Starting salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.

Salary Range: $37,447.32 - $52,426.25/year (hiring range up to $47,840.00) plus benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance plans, 401(a) and 457 retirement plan options with employer match, Personal Time Off accrual, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability benefits, and a swim benefit at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center.
