The City of Salida Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Public Works department is seeking an Operator to join our team!

This position performs a variety of skilled technical duties and semi-skilled labor related to the operation and maintenance of the City’s waste water treatment plant including bar screens, clarifiers, SCADA systems, IFAS treatment processes, anaerobic digestion, and bio-solids processes. Plant operators are expected to perform with increasing independence and to handle issues of greater complexity and responsibility levels as certification increases. As a member of the public works organization, this position may be called out to assist with other City infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects from time to time. Works schedule is 4x10 Tuesday - Friday, with a weekend on-call every 4 weeks. Must be able to work nights, shifts, holidays, weekends as assigned.
Salary Range, dependent on certification level:
Operator Class D $40,127 to $48,161 ($19.29 - $23.15)
Operator Class C $46,737 to $56,084 ($22.47 - $26.96)
Operator Class B $52,843 to $63,412 ($25.41 - $30.49)
Operator Class A $58,295 to $69,971 ($28.03 - $33.64)
