Planner

The City of Salida Community Development Department is seeking a Planner to join our team! This is a full time position with full benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision and retirement plan. Starting salary is $46,434 - $69,652 annually ($22.32 – $33.49 hourly) depending on experience and qualifications.

The Planner position is responsible for reviewing and evaluating development proposals and building permit submittals; collaborating with the community on strategies for the inclusion of affordable housing; assisting with implementation of several community development plans, including “Future 50,” the Salida/Chaffee County Joint Planning IGA, and the Land Use Code, among others; helping to guide sensitive infill development at a Salida scale; and envisioning new economic opportunities within the downtown and Highway 50 area.
