Long-Range Planning

The Community Development Department facilitates long-range planning including creating and updating various plans such as the Comprehensive Plan, Highway Corridor Improvement Plan, Downtown Improvement Plan and Preservation Plan for the community.

The department strives to ensure quality growth and development that promotes the values and goals of the community.

South Ark Neighborhood Plan

The City is beginning to develop an ideal site plan and update regulations for the approximately 100 acres of City-owned land along the South Arkansas River south of Highway 50 (previously known as a portion of the Vandaveer Ranch Planned Development). Visit the project website for details.
